DAY 01. (DEC. 29, TUE.) ARRIVAL TRANSFER IN MEXICO CITY

Upon the arrival of your flight into Mexico City's “Benito Juarez” international airport you will be met and transferred to your Mexico City hotel for overnight lodging. Lodging.

DAY 02. (WED., DEC. 30) CUERNAVACA / CACAHUAMILPA CAVES / TAXCO SPECIAL TOUR

Breakfast. Early in the morning, we’ll depart from Mexico City and head to Cuernavaca (the City of Eternal Spring) for a city tour. Afterward, we’ll travel to the town of Cacahuamilpa, where we’ll visit the famous Cacahuamilpa Caves, considered the second-largest in the world. Inside the cave, there are tunnels up to 10 km long. Their natural formations resemble faces, figures, and shapes, such as those seen in the “Goat,” “Throne,” “Fountain,” “Palm Trees,” and “Cathedral” chambers. We’ll continue on to Taxco. Overnight stay.

DAY 03. (THU., DEC. 31) TAXCO / POZAS AZULES / MEXICO CITY

Breakfast. In the morning, we’ll tour the city, the “Silver Capital of the World,” visiting the famous Baroque parish church of Santa Prisca, strolling through its beautiful cobblestone streets,

and admiring and purchasing silverwork crafted by local artisans. Afterward, we’ll head to the Pozas Azules de Atzala, a natural enclave located very close to the Magical Town of Taxco. The most striking feature of this natural water park is the turquoise color of its waters. Upon arrival, you’ll find seven pools surrounded by waterfalls and rocky cliffs. The place is ideal for cooling off during hot weather. Although the water is cold, you’ll get used to it in no time. Some of the activities you can enjoy here, besides swimming, include climbing the rock walls surrounding the pools, riding zip lines, or walking across fun suspension bridges (at an additional cost). When we’re done, we’ll head back to Mexico City. Overnight stay.

DAY 04. (FRI., JAN. 1) MEXICO CITY TOUR

Breakfast. We’ll visit the Historic Center, a UNESCO World Heritage Site; the Zócalo; enjoy panoramic views of the National Palace and the Aztec Templo Mayor; the Metropolitan Cathedral; Paseo de la Reforma; Chapultepec Park; the city’s most glamorous residential areas; and the Zona Rosa. This is a must-do tour that will also help you get your bearings and become familiar with our city. Return to your hotel. Overnight stay.

DAY 5. (SAT., JAN. 2) BASILICA OF GUADALUPE AND PYRAMIDS OF TEOTIHUACÁN

Breakfast. We’ll begin our tour by visiting the Plaza of the Three Cultures, which blends the past and the present. From there, we’ll continue to the impressive archaeological site of Teotihuacán, where we’ll visit the monumental Pyramids of the Sun and the Moon, the Temple of Quetzalpapalotl, the Citadel, and the Avenue of the Dead. We’ll also visit an artisan center, where we’ll learn about the crafting of obsidian and jade artifacts, as well as traditional beverages (includes tastings of tequila, mezcal, and pulque). Upon returning to the city, we’ll visit the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Patroness of the Americas, the second-most-visited Catholic shrine in the world. Return to your hotel. Overnight stay.
