Caño Cristales River of the 7 Colors

Day 1. Sunday. Bogotá

Arrival in the city of Bogotá, assistance at El Dorado International Airport, and transfer to the hotel for check-in. (It is recommended to choose a flight itinerary that ensures your arrival before noon).

In the afternoon, a panoramic city tour will begin through the historic center of Bogotá, also called “La Candelaria”. You will visit the Gold Museum where you will see around 34,000 pieces of pre-Hispanic gold and more than 25,000 pre-Columbian objects. Subsequently, you will visit the Mint House and Botero Donation where works of the master Fernando Botero, a Colombian artist recognized internationally in different artistic techniques such as painting, drawing, and sculpture, are exhibited. The tour will end with a panoramic tour of the Bolívar Square area (The Primate Cathedral, Casa de Nariño, Liévano Palace, and Palace of Justice). In the afternoon, return to the hotel. Day 2. Monday. Bogotá - La Macarena

Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, transfer to El Dorado International Airport to take the scheduled charter flight (included). The airport meeting time is at 5:00 am, flight duration approximately 1 hour. Arrival in the municipality of La Macarena and induction talk by municipal authorities. We will transfer to the assigned accommodation, where a room will be provided for changing clothes and storing luggage; An alternate location to Caño Cristales will be visited according to the indications and assigned by environmental authorities:

Alternate location 1 - Caño Cristalitos and viewpoint

Alternate location 2 - Caño Piedra

Alternate location 3 - Rio Bajo Lozada

Lunch will be served (included) during the assigned activity.

Return to the hotel for check-in (15:00Hrs), Dinner (included). Accommodation.

Day 3. Tuesday - La Macarena - Cajuche Spring.

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure in the morning hours (according to schedules established by environmental entities) to start a 20-minute boat ride along the Guayabero River enjoying the landscape, followed by a 20-minute journey in association trucks from the boat's disembarkation point to the Cajuche Spring. The trail assigned by Coormacarena or National Parks will be visited as permitted. Typical regional lunch (included), which will be consumed during the hike and wrapped in banana leaves "Bijaos". Return to the urban center of La Macarena, in the same way as entering Caño Cristales.

In the evening, there will be an integration including a Folkloric and Gastronomic showcase of the region; music and dance integration of the region's youth with visiting tourists. Dinner (included). Accommodation.

Day 4. Wednesday - La Macarena - Cajuche Spring.

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure in the morning hours (according to schedules established by environmental entities) to start a 20-minute boat ride along the Guayabero River enjoying the landscape, followed by a 20-minute journey in association trucks from the boat's disembarkation point to the Cajuche Spring. The trail assigned by Coormacarena or National Parks will be visited (different from the one known on day 3). Typical regional lunch (included), which will be consumed during the hike and wrapped in banana leaves "Bijaos". Return to the urban center of La Macarena, in the same way as entering Caño Cristales. Dinner (included). Accommodation.

Day 5. Thursday - La Macarena Mountain Range Trail - Bogotá

Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, departure to visit the trail in Caño Cristales assigned by environmental entities according to authorities' permits. (Lunch Included)

Around noon, transfer to the airport to catch the charter flight (included), departure time estimated between 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm to the city of Bogotá.

Arrival in the city of Bogotá, assistance at El Dorado International Airport, and transfer to the hotel for respective check-in. Accommodation.

Day 6. Friday - Bogotá - Destination City

Breakfast at the hotel. According to the indicated time, transfer to El Dorado International Airport to catch a flight (not included) to the next destination city.
